Hi guys! I was thinking I might leave the challenge open a little longer since we don't have a lot of fic so far. Probably to... Oh, let's say Sep. 15th.

I've seen some prompts and fic that aren't following the directions - I know it's easy to forget the details, but please try to do things like put FIC in the subject lines for fic, since it makes everything easier for participants (and for me) to find!

(Lovely spam we've been getting, too, eh? Guess I'm going to have to turn my email notifications back on so I can take care of that more quickly.)

What we are doing here is a Prompt Tree Challenge. Any fandom is welcome, or for that matter things that aren't usually considered fandoms (historical figures, mythology, whatever you want). Gen and smut of any type are both welcome. Fanart is welcome, too - but if you post art, please link to it instead of posting it directly in the comments, and use appropriate warnings.

To explain how this works, I'm just going to use a really popular fandom with easily recognizable characters. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS even if you participated last time, because I have changed them slightly in response to feedback.

I will leave some prompts to start with so everyone can look and see what I'm on about! If you are still confused after that, ask any questions here. I will be leaving the challenge open for about 3 weeks, so you have until near the end of August!

Gonna close up the challenge tomorrow (evening, probably), Thurs. Jun. 4th, which is, aha, about a week later than I said, but hey! Anything left you want to get in, go ahead and do it!

I'm thinking I'll do another one sometime in July - not sure whether it'll be early, middle, or late yet. Keep an eye out!

Looks like activity is winding down now! I'm going to leave the challenge open for about another week or so to make sure everyone has a chance to get in what they wanted to get in. (I have a couple more I want to write myself...) Feel free to keep leaving prompts, of course!

Would folks be interested in doing another one sometime soon? If so, when? A month? Couple of months?

inarticulate has compiled for us a master list! List will be updated periodically as new fic come in. Also, um, this was compiled hours ago and I was slow about posting it, so if you've written a fic in the last few hours and it's not here, that's why. You'll be added before long, never fear! And of course, if anyone sees any mistakes or a broken link or whatever, let me know.
