February 2014 amnesty post.

Dust off your old fills if you so choose, because it's amnesty time!

If you have any fic, for any challenge within the past year, you didn't get posted before the deadline, feel free to post it here and now on this entry. Just name the series, pairing and prompt either in your subject line or in your comment proper, and then post away! Hopefully this will allow you guys to do something with any abandoned fills you didn't get to post previously.

The amnesty period will close in March. Happy filling!

I, uh, am probably past the amnesty for this one, but this comm always needs more fic!

"Done," Kazuki said as he hung up his dish-towel and then raked back his hair with both hands. He looked around the empty restaurant - at Soushi sitting patiently at a table with his nose in a tablet and --

"Where's Maya?"

"Not back yet," Soushi replied. "I wonder what--"

He was drowned out by the engine of Maya's scooter buzzing right by the window. Strangely, it was burdened down by a pile of bags and... was that a tent?

Kazuki and Soushi looked at each other and shook their heads. Obviously, something was afoot but neither one knew what.

Neither speculated, either, at least not out loud, before Maya let herself in.

"We're going camping," she said with a smile.

"Why?" Soushi questioned.

"Because," Maya replied, pointing as she spoke, "my mom and Kazuki's dad are going out tonight."

Kazuki blinked. Well, he'd sort of knowna bout that because of how much his father had been fussing around and hand-wringing over...

His mother was gone. It was okay. And secretly, Kazuki was fairly sure his mother would like it if his father and Dr. Toomi got together.

"So why do we have to go camping?" Soushi questioned.

Maya looked a bit like she wanted to facepalm. Kazuki was fairly sure he saw her eye twitch.

"So if they want to do anything I don't want to think about, they can," Maya told him flatly. She crossed her arms before adding. "Kazuki, I already left a note for you."

Kazuki chuckled. Obviously she'd put a lot of thought into their parents doing things she didn't want to think about.

"Why do I..." Soushi trailed off, silenced by the looks Kazuki and Maya were both giving him.

Kazuki was almost disappointed that he didn't get to give a hands-on explanation. But it was good that Soushi understood.
